I have had no vox in AH2. Not able to transmit on channel, or range, and not able to recieve from either. I've uninstalled AH2 and done the full reinstall. I've updated my drivers, and my DirectX9, with no luck. All my microphone settings in Windows, and in AH2 seem to be in order. Vox works fine in AH1, and settings are the same. All other sounds in both games are normal. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a driver/settings issue. Others have been complaining about this same problem, but only a few that I know of. Beyond email and AH, I'm basically computer illiterate, so I don't have any idea what to do next. Any help/info would be appreciated...If more info is needed, let me know - Mtnman

Thanks for link to other post, but...I don't think the chips I have are VIA. My sound is on my MB, not an additional card. My sound info says.
ON Board AC'97 Sound Codec
-Chip:ALC650
-Compliant with AC'97 specification
-AC'97 2.2 Interface
-Supports 6 channels.
Would the Hyperian drivers mentioned apply here? I know very little about computers, and am hesitant to start downloading without knowing what is going on.
My MB chipsets are-
North : nVIDEA nFORCE2 400
South: nVIDEA nFORCE2 MCP/MCP-T
Do I need to do updates for those too? I do the windows updates regarding drivers, etc, and am current there, but again, don't know what is best or where to look.
Tried reducing hardware acceleration, no change, so put back to highest setting.
Checked firewall setting in network connections, and it is not/was not enabled. Also have AV turned off when restart for AH.
DxDiag? Don't know how, or how to get it to post here. I lose TCP/Switch to UDP every time I play, within 5-10 minutes and always have, with no noticable effect, even in AH1. Could that be related? I'm on dial-up, live in the sticks, with no access to cable, not able to pay for DSL. My connect is ussually 48.6- 50.2, with pings of 175-185. Not sure if that matters. Really miss my vox...Mtnman

do a BBS search for AC97...
skuzzy mentioned something about it quite a while back.
you might want to look into a $40 SB PCI card and disabling the onboard.
