I'm talking about ATI Radeon 9??? serie vs
GeForce 5??? serie.
Now the profile of the better video cards
must be clear afther the betatesters gave their responses.
Thanks.

Clearly the ATI is top's right now.
This coming from someone that despised ATI for years. I used to do tech support for AW and ATI harware\drivers gave us so much grief.
But, thats not the case any longer. You can compare the 2 cards by checking the forums at Future Mark.

Great info on this site, I highly recommend spending time here, theres nothing but great info.

STOP, STOP, STOP!!!
Maybe I wrote wrong,.....when I said "which is the better video card" I would not intend "in absolute the better", instead I was intending "in Aces High wich is the better video card" ?
Was I clear enough ?
Thanks anyway

If you have 3gig cpu or better the 9800 is fastest, for slower cpu's nvidia is faster.

I only have Athlon XP 2400+ and 1024Mb DDR and I've bought a Radeon 9600 Pro 256Mb on ebay (not yet arrived in my hands)

you should be fine with that set up. The ATI x800 xt and pro, along with the nvidia 6800 aren't really "needed" yet. getting one is like being the first kid on the block to have one.
Evidently the New ATI's are better than the Nvidia's now, but you won't see it in any current apllications untill developers start utilizing the performance of the card.
I would say you'd be fine with the 9600 for a year or so. At least until the price comes down on the ATIS and Nvidia's. Or there are new models/technology added.

Hi Clouds:aok
It doesn't really matter. As long as you bought a half decent card and not an ATI 9000 or Geforce FX5200 you will be fine. "Only" a 2400+ CPU is still pretty fast and would just about make a 9800 Pro worthwhile. Don't fret! Enjoy the game.
