Weird

That would be a great way to honor the man and his contributions to the country. I just hope they choose a better image.

Didn't they just spend a bunch of money redesigning the $10? They should hold off until they are redesigning another bill or coin.
Also I think it's time to get rid of the penny. Let's move the decimal point.

I got a better idea: bag up all the pennies and use em to help payoff the deficite. OR jsut ship em over to england....tell em they r pounds

Why not just bring the 2 dollar bill back and put it on that? Or make a $15 bill..
-
Adams was never the Pres. I say he should go.
-
hawk i just read something on snopes that the two dollor bill is not out of circulation.
-
If they are picking new presidents for Bills certainly FDR should be on one before Reagan. But I guess it depends on how you vote. Is FDR recognised by the Right?

If F.D.R. were alive today he would be a Rep. same as J.F.K. I was a Demo. years ago, untill they left me.
It's not your fathers Democratic Party anymore, sorry.
Oh, on to your question yes we recognise him, we could even pick him out of a crowd.
-
FDR should be on a coin. The coin should be worth nothing though, just like his economic policies. Now if you want to talk about his stature as a War president, he is tops.

Geesh he is already on currency, the dime. FDR should be on 2 pieces of currency before anyone else gets their first appearance on a bill?
-
Putting his image on a $1 000 000 bill would be more fitting considering his fiscal policies.
:D

Considering Reganomics, wouldn't his picture on a credit card be more appropriate?

Dinger's proposed constitutional amendments:
A. In order for someone's face to go on our money, that person has to have been dead so long that there is no living American who remembers him or her personally. I mean, look at our cash: we've got Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Hamilton, Jackson, Grant and Franklin. Of these, the only one with questionable cred is Grant. (Those against Hamilton -- uh, you know he did kinda establish the financial base for the country). Of these, the only one anyone could remember when they slapped his face on the currency was Grant. And when his face went up, there were plenty of people to remember him.
B. No naval ship, airport, or weapons system shall be officially named after a living person.
C. Only Republicans go on Mt. Rushmore. And only Republicans shall be allowed to visit that monument.

I dunno, Truman is up there with the whole thing about Manhattan that everyone is always talking about, what's that? (j/k)of course there's always Nixon, we should put Nixon either on some money or he sohuld be the mascot for some kind of recording device; Sony's new Mascot :" Super Nose to the rescue with all your audio recording needs"

Kennedy's face is on the 50 cent piece, I'm sure there's someone maybe who remembers him personally...

Adams the 4th President, or Madison the 4th president?
(JQ Adams was the 6th...)

I believe the same thing that G. washington believed in. That no president should be on any of our money.
but if your going to stick him on a bill. make it the 50. Why the hell is that drunk grant on our money? Hamilton ment far more to this country then reagan every could have.

FWIW... In case you forgot, Your opinion does not matter in our affairs, that is unless you have relegated the fact that Canada is just a territory to the US now...
:lol
(jk on the territory remark btw) :D

I've read a lot about Jackson in history. He was certainly an interesting and bold president.
It would be just fine with me if we got a new $20 bill with Reagan.
I don't think Jackson would mind. He would be surprised it made it this far.
