Title: Hardware T&L error

Hi

I just bought a new cpu, card etc to play AA and AH2.  Using Beta 36 the game started and ran no problem, but now ive moved to Beta 40 im getting an error about my card not supporting 'Hardware T&L' and it wont be able to run AH2.

Wtf?  The game hasnt exactly become ultra-graphic intensive, so why does my new stuff, even though it isnt top of the range, not work?  I can work other games with no problems that have higher requirements than AH2.

My new stuff was an Athlon 2200+, ATI Radeon 9200SE 128mb card and 512mb DDR Ram.  I run Win98SE.

Since AH1 seems to be dwindling, I will be as well to cancel my account if I cant get in to AH2 :-(

Glas, your hardware is fully compatible with AH2, the problem is in your video driver, try installing a newer one and dont forget to use DirectX 9.

Glas I feel the same way had no problem till 40 now my map only shows friendlies all green bars and green dots not a red 1 insight

I don't know if the radeons are just a coincidence r not

yes my uk brother it sure does. what kills me I bought a new video card just for ah2 almost $200 and if hitech can not resolve my problem I bought it for nothing. I never could fly well, and can't shoot worth a dam and now I can;t see enemy coming.

Make sure you have DX9, that is key.

I find it hard to believe someone's computer could introduce a bug that would hide enemy.

I mentioned the dar down in all seriousness as last night somebody was taking great delight in killing the dar and throwing the usual taunts on CH 1 just to make sure we all knew how clever he was.

Thanks for the heads-up guys ;)

Re-downloading DX9 to see if it helps.  If not, I might try installing XP cos the updated drivers for the card only work under 2000/XP (or so Ati said anyway).
