As I get closer and closer to actual activity my screen will turn (sky) blue. No plane, no ground, no con, no nothing. Just a blank blue screen. After a couple seconds it will blink back to show all the elements it's supposed to show, then go blue again. It seems to get worse the closer I am to "activity", such as other aircraft, enemy fields...basically anything I need to see.
Oddly enough the switch from b40 to b41 uses a bit more than twice the video memory for me, too.
Aircraft: F4U-1
System:
P4 2.6
1.5G RAM
nVidia GeForce4 ti 4600 vid card
128.3M video memory available
128.1M video memory used

Set texture size to 512 and it brought mem usage down to 50M or so, but it still blanks out. Same behavior offline as well as on. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with nearby objects.
I'm also seeing it "freeze", then give me a host connection lost after a minute or two.

Are your drivers current?

Brand new computer build; all the drivers came off the net as of last Sunday.
56.72 whql from nvidia.com for the video card.

BLECH! It's twitchy as hell in AH1. I'm downloading 56.64 whql now.
56.64 is stable in AH1 and reduced the blue sky screen in AHII, but it's still an issue.
Pre-beta 41 there wasn't any blue sky screen at all even with the newer driver.
I'm down to 53.03 whql and still sky-screening. Near as I can tell it gets worse the longer I'm playing. Doesn't seem to be a driver issue.

....and you do have DirectX 9.0b installed? If not please do. If you do, I recommend a re-install of DX 9.0b!
Good Luck

Yup, including the latest security patch. That was done in the last couple days also... :)
