Since i did not got a message from HTC whats going on with my night fighter, i studied the skin again, and figureded out what might be the reasons for not seeing it in the game.
Now here is the result. the upside is finished.

I'm still messing around with the underside. Is it too much 'comic style' now? Tell me the truth. I can stand a laughter.

i think it looks fricken awesome, id fly it! just MHO though.

Ecke - beautiful job :) - the one thing I think might improve it (if that's possible) is to make the panel lines a little less prominent on the underside, but I'm just being picky. Great work:aok

I believe HT mentioned in the game that new skins are on hold for the time being until after the change over.
as for your skin man thats sweet did you happen to make it available at the AH skin page ? AHskindep (http://ah-skins.com/index.php)
i'm hoping that once the newly approved skins are released this one is in the mix even in daytime that looks awsome, thanks for all your and all the other skinners hard work to make this game more enjoyable for others.

Hi Ecke,
I'm sorry. The reason you haven't got an accepted/declined response yet is because I held up your skin as I wanted to talk to you about it and haven't gotten around to it. Artistically, it was approved. I was wanting you to tell me some more about the scheme. I'm not very familiar with paint schemes from Wilde Sau units and don't really have the time presently to do any research.

Pyro, do you get a meesage one way or the other? I sent a 145 squad spit in a while ago and I haven't heard a yay or nay yet.
-
I just wrote this in another thread but I'll cut and past it here.
New skin additions have been on hold so we could work out issues with the texture caching in isolation (isolated from any issues with skins downloading or skin caches being generated).
You don't have to wait for a skin to upgraded to 1024 in order to submit a skin, but we don't accept skins using the old resolution.
You should receive an email after you submit your skin and another one after it has been accepted or rejected. We are a bit backlogged but that process should start moving again soon.
-
Thanks Pyro. I have not received any emails at all regarding the skin I submitted. I know you guys are busy so I will trust that it made it there ok. I sent another one today. I will see what happens.

Hello Pyro,
here are some basic infos about Wilde Sau missions.

And here are infos about my particular plane.

Within the next days, you will get a mail from me with the reworked 109G6 skin and also the links above.

Just an artistic suggestion, so take it for what its worth.
First, the bottom looks a little bit too "blueprinted". The difference in color shades is too dramatic. But maybe that is just my taste.
Second, I would think that weathering would be along or within individual panels, rather than across "seams". So, for example, a patch would stay within a panel. If damage was so severe as to cross a seam, then I would think that the whole piece of the damaged panels would be slightly different shade from the rest of the bottom of the plane - in short, the different color would be the whole square of the panel; or, alternately, just a small dab of paint over a bullet hole.
Third, (and my biggest concern) it always seemed to me that airplanes launching from grass strips would bear a lot of weathering along the bottom of the landing gear doors on the gear struts, particularly along the lowest part of the door, since this is where dirt and scrub brush would be most likely to rub against the airplane. Yet, there is only a small amount of wear on the gear doors of your 109, with most of the wear on the centerline of the fuselage.
Just my opinions. Not that I'm an expert or anything.

nice.. very nice:aok

Thank you guys for your support.
I worked a bit more at the 109's underside.
And in case that someone from HTC walks by again, i have a last question:
Does this surface have a chance to be accepted?

Thanks for your critics. I found a pic which will surprise you (me as well)

Ecke, what I was looking for was whether this was a unit paint scheme or a unique personal scheme for Dieterle?

Hey Pyro,
This paint scheme wasnt a unique personal scheme for Dieterle.
I didnt found much infos about this camo. Only that it was used by a variety of Luftwaffe units. More infos here:
