I have played this game for roughly three years, long enough to have become a fairly proficient turn fighter, but i have noticed that every now and then I run into a plane that turns SUPER well. I don't want to go calling anyone a cheater, but there's no way. It doens't happen often, but it does happen and I am forced to watch in amazement as the enemy con makes unbelievable high speed turns and end up on my six. There has to be someway of manipulating config files or something, cause I mean they are making turns that are impossible even with trim flaps and throttle chops. I have been on the game long enough to know the limitations of the planes, so it isn't dellusional. Have any of you guys run into this? How do they do it? How can i do it?

You obviously haven't spent your time in Aces High well. I'd say over 90% of what people consider "SUPER" turning really consists of players performing lead turns, demonstrating impeccable timing, and using geometry to most efficiently gain angles on the enemy.
I have never seen any kind of turning in Aces High that I would consider unreasonable or unexplainable. And speaking personally, I find it a bit hard to swallow when someone rants about cheating and yet protects the "cheater" by withholding his name.
Better yet, just film it and send it to HTC. Posting about cheating here is bad form.

Levi, try reading my post first then be belligerent if you like... Angles and geometry?
I'm not talking about any sort of normality here, I'm talking about impossible turns, things an a6m does, but at 400 mph. Planes that can literally fly circles around you at high speeds, planes that kill you with one ping. I know ACM's well enough to hold my own with the best turn fighters, but I know when something isn't jiving. Insulting me or my skills or trying to bend a legitimate question I have into some crazy accusation doesn't answer anything. Honestly you sound a bit defensive :lol
Anyway, if somebody has a real response I would love to hear some feedback rather than cheap shots or paranoia...

Ask yourself... why is that only you have faced such amazing foes and not me? Are you just unlucky? When you state that something is impossible, you essentially declare that the person doing it has cheated or found some bug to exploit in the game. It's as simple as that. You can deny it all you want, but there it is.

I sound defensive because I think your ignorance of ACM feeds your misperception about the "SUPER" abilities of other planes or players? Wait, does this mean you're accusing me of cheating too? Your question was never legitimate. You basically asked how it is that other players cheat to make their planes outperform you. You can't possibly pretend it was anything but that.
Anyway, if somebody has a real response I would love to hear some feedback rather than cheap shots or paranoia...
I'm curious how you find what I wrote paranoid rather, say, than your little treatise on "SUPER" planes.

All these "superplane" and "cheater" -whiners have one thing in common: They never provide any film. How hard can it be to turn the recorder on (FYI its ALT-R).
-
When I played, it was wading thru a sea of slow, badly maneuvering planes (pilots), with occasional 90%-performance maneuvering planes that made me nervous because I'd gotten used to 75% being largely sufficient.

twitchy, consider three factors here:
1 - Elevator trim.
2 - Throttle setting.
3 - Some people do not like to take off with full tanks.
-
check your stick calibration, check the dead band and damping, etc.
the more you use , the less manuverability you will seem to have.
and check to make sure stall limiter is off, etc. to you it may seem impossible, but its really not. knowing all the planes true max capabilities will help you in any fight.
turning on films and watching them later , in film viewer, will reveal things that will suprise you.
hope this helps :)

Hax0r! Its the only explanation, well, the only reasonable one anyway.

i've shot down and been shot down literally 10,000 times.
not once have i seen anything remotely resembling something "fishy."
i have noted, however, that some shots on me in my view (and looking clear) by certain people, hit where in the majority of cases i'm in the clear... this i simply attribute to lag - which *does* have somewhat of an effect, but not overly so. when you time things as fine as i do, it's that critical 50-100 yds that makes the difference in squeaking by or getting hit.
oh yeah....
IN!

Nicely done sir

There most likely isn't 20 players in this game that haven't blamed hacking--cheating after seeing , feeling , not beleiving someone
shot them down when clearly the advantage was thiers.
Those 20 would be the guys that did the shooting.
I would suggest asking those individuals for some DA time.
The most difficult part of this game is admitting a toaster can beat
you.
Ego leads to frustration and accusations that won't benefit nada.

I remember this guy here who got kilt by backward firing Typhoons I swear he did!! He was so wicked good no one could have done something he couldn't do and he wouldn't have lied about it as he was a nice guy and this is the internet and he knew what he was talking about as he had a HUGE coffee table book all about WWII Planes from TIME-LIFE at his dads house he was an ex-pert I know!

Have any of you guys run into this?
Nope. Everyone that has ever killed me (there are a lot of them), death was due to my own inabilities and not some so-called "hack". I have never seen anything close to what you describe and I have been here almost 3 years.
How do they do it?
Haven't a clue. If I did, or if anybody else did for that matter, could do what you alledge, what make you think that they would post it here on the BBS. Can u say "instant-ban-for-life" ?.
How can i do it?
You can't ... simple as that and I can't believe that you would ask this question. This question along with your second question would only lead someone to believe that if such a "hack" were availabe, you would use it.
These last 2 question could get you in trouble !!!
Within the past week, there have been multiple "cheat" threads and all end in HTC getting pissed and saying that if you believe something is wrong, film it, and send it PRIVATELY to HTC for review, and not to post "cheat" threads.

I have only seen 1 cheater and he was banned in 5 mins by Skuzzy. Believe me If you ever see a cheat you will have no doubts at all. It will be as clear as when guys in ah2 saw HITECH flying pt boat and killing fighters.
Like alot in here first time (when I was very new)I went against Fester I was a niki with 2 others in niki. He killed all 3 that tried for him. Heard on radio that MF cheats. I thought since old time players thought he cheated he must. Then I flew a20's and have great kill rates in it against fighters. I now know its skill not cheat. Every thing he did I do now. Includeing dropping wing bombs but 1 to turn faster :). Fester is only pilot in game to shoot all 3 my bombers at 34k and live. I learned more from my films of fester, shane, akak, dmdcoach and some others then I ever did on my own.
I film every flight I make and end of day i either mark ones i want to see with pilots name or i erase ones that are of no help one way or another. I would strongly suggest you FILM EVERY SORTIE. at end of day erase them if nothing is on them worth saving. Ones you want to see RENAME them with pilots name or with STRAGE TURNS etc.
The rumors in this game about certain pilots cheating are just that sour grape rumors. You killed me you must be cheat.
p.s. twichty twist sticks verus rudder pedals rudder pedals will always out turn even if your in a better turning plane.
-
I've seen a few suspicious things here and there.
The problem with film is that I don't run it constantly. On the occasions that I do happen upon something suspious I turn film on when I get back to the area, but the person in question is no longer there or I don't happen across them again in the fighting.

All this talk of 'Super Planes' makes me feel nostalgic.
How many of you grognards remember the Med theatre back just before the release of the ME262? It was being tested by the developers in the MA just before being made available to us dweebs. I remember seeing this impossibly fast plane zipping over head thumbing its nose at me and sporting the ME262 icon. Thought I was dreaming. It was a wonderful tease and I know whoever was flying it (HiTech, perhaps?) must have been splitting their sides at all the comments from the 'UFO spotters'. I recall the occasional complaint of being killed by 'invisible' NMEs back around that time too. There was talk of an invisibility cloak cheater who was caught - I can't recall clearly - any of you young whippersnappers remember the details? Anyway I thought HT was a good sport for giving us that experience felt by the first allied pilots to encounter the ME262 jet.
"What the heck was that? I just saw a plane with no propellors, and it was FAST!!!"

And again, if you suspect anything, or cannot understand what is happening, then film it, and watch the film from both perspectives. If you still do not understand what happened, then email the film in to us.
We will be happy to look at it.
Coming to the bulletin board solves nothing and creates more angst.
