Dunno if this happens on other planes....but happened to my 38 twice during the last week.
I take a few hits.....damage list says Right Aux Fuel damaged. Looking over to the right I can see the fuel leak but also see that the right engine is smoking......
Note: Damage list does not say that Engine 1 oil hit.....
A few minutes later (2 or 3) the right wing just breaks off.....I dont hear any hit sounds...just the damage sound.
When it happened I had disenagaged seeing the smoking engine......and there was no chance that any other plane hit me....nearest enemy was 1.5k away.
Is this a bug or is it some new effect HTC has modelled?

It wasn't the engine that was smoking, it was the fuel that was burning. You don't always see the fire though.

So the wing breaks off presumably because the fire entered the fuel tank and made it go BOOM!
Wow! Didnt know fuel fires were modelled here....wtg HTC.:aok
Next step.......engine oil leaks can cause engine fires..:D

Fuel fires are modelled, most of the time you will see a big flame but not always. The smoke is usually VERY black which makes it easy to see compaared to the normal "oil black" smoke.
If you see very black smoke coming out of your plane, better try and ditch ASAP.
