We've been working on the plane descriptions and performance pages in the help system. We put up a bunch of new performance charts today while the plane write-ups get finished.
Anyway, I'm looking for anyone who wants to write guides to flying their favorite planes in AH. These guides would be linked on the plane description page as "Pyro's guide to flying the La-5FN" or whatever. Each plane is not limited to a single guide, we'll put up however many we get from different people.
If you're interested in writing an airplane guide, go ahead and send it in when you're ready. Feel free to ask any questions about this.

Welp, I started my advice guide on the 109. Then I realized I'm under the influence of alcoholic beverages (>hiccup< ). I'll give it a go tomorrow when all 10 of my brain cells are clickin' in synch. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

The only guide that I need to write is:
"Bloom's guide to completely blowing 15k of altitude only to overshoot, then turn back 10 minutes later, only to overshoot again."
The sequel:
"Bloom's how-to guide to letting your opponent ditch after you blow off 1/2 his wing."
(Ask Pongo about the second one. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) )
I could write a million of them. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

HB, you did well in that bird. When you sober up I would be interested in reading what you think.
I can just see my training. OK boys, grab the biggest club you can find, and head for the high ground.

Pyro, the new charts are an excelent work, but:
1 - Grid lines should help a lot.
2 - Initial condition of the test, as fuel
load, weapons set selected, speed used
with the climb charts, etc.
3 - Climb rate and top speed are good but not
enough, level/dive acceleration would be
very useful also, as well as a roll rate
chart, even corner and stall speed
charts would be greatly appreciated.
I know this is a lot of work for each plane,
if you have a written procedure to make each
test, perhaps several of us could help to
finish them.
