I am very junior here and have not read all past postings. I wonder if there has been any discussion about animations between tower and hangar and runway etc. I have discussed with several people and none of them have seen those animations nice or usefull. Simply waste of time and some people (like me) have felt physically sick watching those! I mean I feel myself dizzy going up and down those stairs! Experienced this only with one version of 3D tetris before!
Is there an option to turn animations off? They are totally annoying!

Bring up the clip board, click on set up, then click on the GUI button. You can disable the animations there.
