Now these are beauties (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Just get rid of that prop animation, so iritating. Besides, that effect can be seen only to stroboscope effect of film camera, right ?
-
Now how about that. If I gather right, the 109g2 has Finnish markings on it. What can I say? Very nice =).

Right you are Hristo! Only thing is most people only see these planes in movies or on TV/tape which makes people thing that the stoboscope effect is how it really is. Only time you should see it in real life is when you are looking through one prop at another m(or are iluuminated by a stobe or some other regularly flashing illumination.
Real props have the tips painted and all you see when they are running is a transparent circle or circles caused by things like prop decals, the tips, lettering on the blades, etc. How bright they are depends on how well illuminated.
Point of interest (or not depending on your point of view), but B-17 pilots would sync the 1&2 and 3&4 engines by looking at the area where the prop arcs overlapped. There you will see a strobe effect and when you get the dark shadow to stop moving up or down the engines are in sync.

From the looks of things (and assuming all the dials work) that B26 was in trouble. Note the difference in engine temps, and the speed and alt of the a/c. Looks like an engine-out landing, gear up. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Ok I want to mention something here.
I was flying recently in a two prop engine commercial plane. The outter tips of the prop were yellow and it had four blades. When we were cruising I could see the yellow rim quite distinctly and "kind" of see the internal blur but not really at all. I believe this has to do with the frequency the blade is travelling.. i.e. the tip is travelling fast enough such that you can see the blur. While the inner blade is travelling fast enough that you don't see anything but not so fast that you don't see something.. hehe ok thats confusing but it might work out?
I noticed as the prop slowed down when we landed that the yellow sort of disappeared and the interior part of the blade appeared... very bizarre

Janne, what spit? The closest I've been to that particular plane is its oil on my 109's windscreen (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Fdski can have his plane, I will touch it only with my 30mm (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Is that a squadron or slogan ?

Hmmm..is that Hartmann's G-6?
Sascha

Uhmmm,
109F4 markings look like those of JG2. Dunno about the G6, the black tulip should usually belong to Hartmann a/c indeed.
Sascha, too bad we dont have JG77 markings. Actually JG77's 109G (late G6 or G10 I guess)and Macchi C205V flew and fought togheter.
