Title: Bf109z
Post by: Wolfala on June 12, 2004, 12:17:07 AM
Its amazing what aircraft you can discover when you play a game all the way through. Anyway, my question is - aside from the rediculous incarnation of the 109 that the Z is, did any of these see combat at all?

Seems that the rediculous weaponry would be a sporty bomber killer, but never heard much about it at all.

4 30 mm MK108's and something else, MK103 on a gondola.

I don't think they didn't see any action on WWII and I flow one in IL-2 FB, it was excellent fighter with 4 x 30mm :p

The only time the 109z and the hybrid He-111 ever came close to combat was when they where used to tow the gigant/ me-323. I've probably got a pic around here for yall. I'll see if I cant dig it up.:aok

Two things.

The Me323 didn't need a tow, it got six engines. It's the Me321 that you are thinking of.

Second, the 109Z was not planned to be used as a tow. It wouldn't be able to pull the Me321 anyway.
