Title: "Your plane doesn't have a bomb bay" Mossie
Post by: MOSQ on June 13, 2004, 02:34:50 PM
If you load bombs on a Mossie's wings, but not in the internal bombay, then in flight this is the message you get if you try to open the bombay doors: "Your plane doesn't have a bomb bay".

I haven't tested the other planes with internal bombays and wing ordnance options for this bug, which I think would be the A-20, IL-2, and TBM.

Some might ask, Mosq why would you load wing bombs but not bomb bay bombs?

The answer: Not Intentionally! This happened because of the AHII hangar fuel/ordnance GUI. It's very touchy on my machine, the selected options tend to unselect themselves. I thought I was flying with a full bomb load and much to my surprise got the "Your plane doesn't have a bomb bay" when I went to drop my bombs.

I hate the new Hangar fuel/bomb selection GUI. HTC Please switch back the AHI hangar!

OK, I checked several bombers.

1) You don't need to have wing ordnance, just nothing in the bomb bay.

2) The planes affected are the Mossie, TBM, and IL-2.

The A-20 and other bombers are not because you are required to have bombs in the bomb bay to take off. You can't select to leave the bomb bay empty in them.
