I saw a preview of Sid Meiers, looks quite interesting.. I hope :)
I used to play the original pirates back in the times...

I'm in the beta of world of pirates. It's the first OMMRPG that I find fun...although the MM part is somewhat lacking (6 players online simultaneously at best)...Great game when you realize that it is designed as a hobby by non-pros programmers.

"The goal of this game," says Jeffrey Biggs from Firaxis, "is to put you in the life of a movie pirate. Real pirating was  full of violence and ugliness and questionable ethical issues, so it might not make a great game. But the suaveness of Errol Flynn as a move pirate, that's fun."

Of course its full of violence,thats why theres cannons on the friggen boat. Whoopy doo Micky Mouse Club on the high seas. Ill stick with Port Royal 2.
