Hi, I'm wondering, at what time in this developement process that the folks at HTC are going to start offering credit to those of us on dial up for our time downloading. ( i have no other option)
I've got to give these folks credit for the improvements and the tons of effort ... but i'm sorry the downloading is getting to be overbearing!!! Get this thing working already, X#$%Q@@#$. Time is money how much do you expect me to spend???:(

Wow. You cant be serious, can you?

Is DLS or Cable available where you live? If so, spend the extra $20 bucks dude. There are two or three speed flavours available from most ISP companies now aways so you don't have to spend $50 a month on a high speed line, maybe $15-25. :)

I have cable so dont quote me on this but:
Doesnt DSL run through the phone line as well...?

i use digital smoke signals
:aok

I have not ready the fine print surrounding Aces High but it seems to me that there should be some disclaimer in there regarding "Non-Broadband" connections....
Although I sympathize with the dial-up people and can see their point about paying what for most people is more than they pay for their dial-up connection to play a game only to be downloading updates every day it does get silly...
----------------
Something the makers of the software might consider is setting specific update days and times so people know what to expect.
Say Mon. Wed. and Fri. at Midnight any pending updates would be released?
Either that or give back the dial-up guys their money and require broadband connections to avoid any hassles....

The reason for the constant updates, is that this is an evolving Beta (until later this week). It was (is it still?) a FREE beta at that. Once it goes live, the updates will likely slack off a bit (if not right away, then not long after).

This one gets an 8 from me on originality alone.

save yourself some time, do what most people do...get yourself a download manager that supports resume set it up so when its done your computer turns off (if you turn of your computer) then download whatever it is your downloading overnight.

You know you are right they should not complain about the AHII updates... There have been few on AH1 so their play should not be an issue...
But if I were HiTech I would still add a broadband disclaimer to play it safe ;-)
