Guys, it's been fun. This old fart's old machine won't run AHII. So I'm gonna take advantge of the situation and spend a lot more time fishing this summer. Perhaps when the weather turns cold I'll upgrade the old girl and see you all again.

Goaly, I don't remember running into ya in AH, but this is a great pic. I see one other thing from the pic you need to upgrade, besides yer 'puter...yer holdin th stick in th wrong hand!! Switch yer brain around.;) Like you, I'll have to upgrade my computer before I'll be trolling the skies of AHII.

Looks like a 12 inch screen to match that 17" bowl. Brings back memories seeing that screen though. I always liked the method aw used to 'icon' planes. Distance and type along the side. I remember when full screen came in. Wow, that was a moment for history.

Yep, that's an old Packard Bell 233 that I used to play AW... I upgraded to a Gateway 1.2 for Aces High. So I will probably only need a new video card & some more ram. As for the monitor, it was either get something bigger, or start wearing reading glasses when I played... So there is a 19" on the desk now.
Thanks for the kind words guys. I spent most of my time in a goon or some other obscure bird, but I almost always had fun. It's no secret that I don't take anything too seriously.

Goaly ... hey man all u will probly need is a video card ... most gateways upgrade really easy .. even my 233 pent 2 gateway has a agp slot .
Id rather upgrade a gateway then mess around in a stupid compac or some of those ditzy dells.
hell i bet a cheapy gf4 mx 440 would let ya play ah2 just fine.
