Title: BEWARE! B17s
Post by: MetaTron on June 17, 2004, 10:31:47 AM
You can shoot their entire tail off and they will fly on. I even shot off both wing tips and the entire tail, and the guy still had control of his plane.

I dont think Lancs are that hard to kill. I shoten down the whole formation in a Spit9 and still had plenty ammo.

PS: I had the 50cal package

I saw a B-17 flying yesterday that was missing both wings at the outer engines.  Very strange.

grmph   what's the point of going thru the trouble of shooting more than a wingtip once it's done?

Okay, my conjecture of what's going on is if the guy is in gunner position and his plane gets damaged auto-pilot maintains a firm grip until he returns to pilot position.
