Why is it pressurized?:D
-
You can't see the windows which would be the obvious tip off (they are rounded instead of squarish). But there is one glaring detail that pegs it for the pressurized version.

To prevent hypoxia at high altitudes.

Typing up your membership card right now Frenchy. I'll need your present Jug Gold Card, we need to cut that one in half. Welcome to the light Frenchy:D

Cool plane! Does the STOL on the tail mean it's short runway capable?
-
Yes, those painted letters have a very high lift coefficient.
-
Well, not exactly the P-38 but I will give you the Dweeb's Membership card, it's the first step to becoming a full fledge card carrying P-38 Dweeb.
Nice plane though :c)

Hey! It has 2 tails, it has 2 engines, it is turbocharged.
HELL YEAH! it's a P38:D
This one has some kind of stall kit on the wingtip, to reduce the stall speed. I always liked those planes, finally I got to fly one for a "living". She's a no brainer, the waste gates are automatic so you don't have to worry about over boosting. The pressurization will limit you at 20K, if you go on oxygen I think you can go almost to 30K.
Throttleling back at 25MP/24RPM gives me 170kts@13K, range 6h+, about 10GPH per engine. Good enought for what we do with it.

Very sweet aircraft. Frenchy can you keep us posted on your experience owning this aircraft?
What the costs are etc.
What are you going to do with it? Fly it for a living? Is it IFR and commercially registered?
