Im no computer Wizz and I know there are a few out there that can help. Can someone tell me what lsass.exe is. Im showing it in processes running? I was told it was a trojan and im not sure. I did a search on Google and got  a few different reports on what it is. Any help would be great.. Oh and I do have Norton and its up to date and it did not find anything.

Running windows xp pro

PS:  Unless you got a root kit on your machine lsass.exe is legit...
