Title: No gun sound from forward view
Post by: hcrana on June 18, 2004, 12:56:09 AM
First off, a big salute to the Aces High crowd from a [CENSORED] pilot.

Downloaded AH2 today from your nice zippy server, 15 mins for the whole package, sweet.

Played around offline for a bit, rolled a couple different fighters, and noticed one big problem right away: no sound from my guns when looking forward.  Soon as I turned my head (using numpad keys) I got gun sound.  Back to forward view, no gun sound.  Go figure.

Win XP Pro, P4 3GHz, 512 MB RAM, 256MB ATI Radeon 9800 XT, Creative SB Live.

Tried it with and without pants on, same results.  Kilts are at the cleaners, will advise soonest.

Try turning down your sound card acceleration.

Click Start>Run, type dxdiag and hit Enter. Click the 'Sound' tab, move the slider by "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" down to Standard or Basic (or none, failing that).

If that doesn't work:

Wait until you get your kilt back, place kilt over the seat of the chair you use when flying, remove pants, begin flying and send a 20 minute web cam video of this to support@hitechcreations.com. Works every time.
