Best duck and cover guys. The stuff is about to fly.

After all, they've been warned by the FRENCH and GERMANS this time.

They don't know who they're trifling with this time!

Maybe if we give them substandard firearms they'll play nice and leave us alone (again).

I suspect Iran has business relationships with France and Germany equivalent to the business ties the US has with Saudi Arabia, and formerly, Iraq.

Iran should beware of the stern words from the UN council, those demerits add up to an iranian Oil for food program, and we all know how wonderful that works out for the UN...

I think all that Iran wants is a modern power grid...It can be 'monitored' so let them have it.

They dont have as much energy reserves as the US did when it developed nuclear power.

US nuclear research was first to develop weapons to end the Second World War, or to at least have them before Germany.   'Atomic Power' for peaceful use was an offshoot.  Not vise-versa....

I believe Irans leading clique wants to do the North Korean thing.

Blackmail for concessions from abroad with the primary purpose of staying in power.

Its a shame they're so close to democracy.

A democratically elected government would not pursue nuclear bombs, they'd have much more important things to do like improving the infrastructure of the country.

Once they get the bomb, the clique will be in a stronger position more difficult to depose.

If their facilities (and intentions) could be identified without doubt I wouldn't have a problem if the US bombed it.

If Iran gets the bomb before it becomes democratic (if it becomes democratic) US may have to do that.

Actually in Iran there is still a good INTERNAL development to overthrow the mullah regime. Slow but steady.

The last thing we need is "help" from the USA or any other foreign nation.

We still havent forgot the last great help in the 50ties, when the USA has overthrown the democratic iranian Premier Mossadegh who had before deposed the dictator Shah Reza Pahlawi II in an unbloody revolution.

Every year after the Shah was put back to power his Gestapo-like SAVAK-intelligence service (trained by the CIA and the Mossad) killed tousands of  iranian democrats until in the 70ties the situation has grown so hateful that the iranian people made a second - this time very bloody - revolution. With the damn result that one dictator (Shah) was replaced by another dictator (Khomeini).

But after the Iran-Iraq War the political power of the mullahs was reduced step by step.

Then Bush made his stupid "Axis of Evil"-speach and his other nonsense - like the war in Iraq, which really helped the radical mullahs in Iran.

Nevertheless - I am absolutely sure that in 5-10 years the mullahs will be replaced by the iranians themself, which will result in a stable regime. Maybe not a democracy like in western nations but it will bring us back to the point we lost, when Mossadegh was deposed by foreigners.

But if the foreigners intervene - Iran will become the same hell like Iraq or Afghanistan, where the foreign occupation-troops and Quislings are attacked and killed and the future of the nation will be destroyed for a long time.

Let the iranians deal with their mullahs - and there is a good chance that Iran will become a democracy one day.

We will, as long as they deal with them before we have to worry about suitcase nukes.

The clock is ticking......
