Title: Seems kind of selfish to me

What makes them think American couples would love the children more than a Romanian couple? (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&ncid=519&e=15&u=/ap/20040618/ap_on_re_us/romania_adoptions_1).

There are plenty of American black children looking for a good home.  Why the need to look overseas?  Bah.

I can feel for the US couples wanting a child to raise, but I think they're letting their racial prejudices stand in the way.  They also seem kind of snobbish - like they're trying to justify their cause because they have more money.

Chinese and Korean girls are the most sought after adoptees at least in the Upper Midwest...It's a noble cause, but I wonder if it's also to fulfil some china-doll fetish, or exotification issue some of these people have.

Not all, but some, I've seen some pretty messed up adopted kids who are now young adults...cross-cultural adoption can be some spooky ****

I believe that it would be much more difficult for a white couple to adopt a black child.
