I don't know why..call it morbid curiosity or something..but I watched the russian video a while back and I wish I had never known about it. I've seen people suffer before, but never like that. It's still with me. I've no interest in seeing anything like it again.
I think it's scary that some (including the guy who showed it to me) pass it off as a form of entertainment.

why? it was made and posted because the killers want you to see it. the more hype and "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" it get the more it will just encourage them to make another.
they do this type of thing for attention, and to provoke us into doing legally or morally indefensible acts. this makes it that much easier to paint us as the cause of the worlds problems. it also provides a wider customer base, when they try to sell C4 vests to the next crop of teenagers.
take a minute and think about who you are supporting when you watch, hype, and post this crap.

but that wasn't the problem with your desire to post it, at least my problem with it.
not that it likely matters to you what I think, but I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you simply hadn't thought the situation through and considered who you would be serving by passing this on or talking it up.
I hope that you get the point as to why it would be wrong to post even if everyone where you post it is eager to watch it. it's beyond a matter of the bad taste of snuff films. it's a matter supporting these killers by saving them the trouble of distributing their own propaganda, and helping to fuel the very reaction they where going for.
making these types of terrorist films doesn't require much in the way of resource, grab any American off any street, a couple guys a cam-corder and a basement and you have a video. very hard to track down and impossible to predict or defend against.
so the only way to stop it from happening again is if it doesn't work. don't watch it, don't pass it on, don't tell others where to get it, explain the consequences to anyone who tries to show it to you and let them know you'd appreciate never having this type of stuff sent to you again.
while you are doing (or not doing )those things keep in mind what they are going for, the only possible motivation. to make you mad, so pissed that you stop thinking, stop controlling yourself, lose your belief in what is acceptable behavior, and begin lashing out like devil they say we are. thats the motive here (unless someone knows another. it's the only one that makes sense to me. any other ideas?) to piss us off to the point of rage, hate and cruelty on par with their own.
they tell a story of who we are and how evil we are and then try to goad us into proving them right. once we give up and surrender our ideals, ignore our laws and sense of decency, they control us and we have lost.

Now if we could get he media to stop airing it and somehow storm and knock-out websights that host it..that would eliminate their motivation to make it.
Anyone ever consider a mass Request for Info slam of these militant websights?

Why would you want to watch anything as morbid as that. I saw the Nick Berg video, well,part of it. I couldnt see the entire thing. Even though I didn't see the worst part, it still stays with me just about every time I hear of someone captured/killed in Iraq. I have no Idea why anyone would WANT to watch such a horrible thing. :mad:

Me too. The bad part was the camera and the microphone were close to the victim. The sounds and the visuals I'll not ever forget. Haunting.

Your first post was obviously rhetorical and beneath contempt. If you have been on this board for any time you already knew the answer to your question. Posting the link would be far from a "respectful" thing to do.
I imagine that man has been dead since the first video was made. They knew their demands had no chance of being met. They just waited until the deadline to broadcast the rest.
I am curious why you felt the need to put that bit about your "fellow Americans" in your post.
b17, some of us are quite pissed and we already HAVE been in a recruiters office. Our service has been done. How about yours? When you get old enough I hope you stand up and serve as well. Then your comments would have some sense of credence instead of mere noise.
