Title: Roger Wilco Use
Post by: Swager on October 12, 1999, 11:39:00 AM
Have this little comm system I would love to use in AH.  How does one go about getting on with others that are using it.  Someone put their IP up last nite for someone else to tie into.  How do others get organized for the RW?

Go to the airfield and see if anyone else flying out of there is using it?

Normally you would use it with a friend that you want to do team work with. Some guys will join you if you ask, so just ask.

Yep for example the other night as I took off, TTL and AHA asked me to escort them.  The said hey got RW?  I said sure!  The flipped me the IP and Waaahlaaah we're talkin'  Nothing to it.  We flew a coupla missions and said CYA.

Is anyone else losing the "direction" of their sound when using RW?  When I use it the sounds are still there but when I turn my head they are longer "3D".  When I stop using RW the problem goes away.  I'm using a Sound Blaster AWE 64.

Yes I experience this too.  Squad mates with SB16s like I have suffer the same problem; those with SB Live cards do not and have both RW and surround sounds.

I believe it is a problem with an older generation card -- not sure how an AWE64 stacks up in the mix.

Cheers,
