Just got a new car, and it has 600 miles on it so far... would it bad to take her on a 3 hour road trip, keeping her under 70ish?
Thanks for the info folks

The days of "breaking in" new cars is pretty much gone. Engines are built to such tight tolerances that they are broken in from the factory, more or less. Just drive it as you normally would and replace the oil when you get back.

Yeah I was planning on getting that oil changed at 1000 miles.. this should set me right at that mark, plus the dealership was going to do it for free, plus any maintenance I needed to be done.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
As far as breaking in the engine, I've gotten more power as times progressed, but seals need to expand etc, with the heat of the engine. Its a nice car , Infiniti G35 C, and its my first NEW car, that I bought with my own hard work, So shes got me by the balls, and I like it.... haha
Thanks again, I'll let ya know

Do yourself a favor and "christen" it yourself. I always put the first door dings in my new trucks the minute the papers are signed.
