I watched the much hyped interview of Clinton yesterday, conducted by David Dimbleby of the BBC. Apparently Clinton was supposed to lose his rag. He may have come close to it - he leaned forward and was jabbing his finger in Dimbleby's direction when questioned about ML, but that was about it. The cameras zoomed in on him at that point, but they would, wouldn't they?
Clinton maintains that he was not guilty of infidelity by his association with ML. But Dimbleby pressed him by citing the fact that many would consider Clinton's alleged activity with ML as an act which could be construed as infidelity. Dimbleby couched his questions in very specific manner - I won't repeat it word for word here. Clinton kept his guard up.
I'm sure I wasn't the only one watching who found Clinton's southern-USA phraseology a little difficult to understand at times.
Oh well, Clinton is chapeau vieux these days...

Then why all the fascination with this person? He's beyond old hat. Personally I feel ashamed for us. This person is living proof why it was wrong to allow women to vote. The book should have been titled "When the Outhouse Supplanted the White House" that would be much more fitting. Billy Jeff, a national disgrace. Still one can't blame him for the ML thing. Afterall look at what he chose for a consort. I wouldn't hit that if it paid six figures.

I allways though Monica was a lucky girl ...

Yeah, it's too bad we can't just ***** slap them down anymore. Damn liberals.

First we saw it with Mel Gibson's Christ movie, then Moore's 911 movie, now Clinton's interview: hype. It seems like there are some very savvy promoters out there who have the juice to create artificial controversy in order to promote a product. It's nothing new, but it seems to be done on a world-wide scale now.

You don't have to slap them down, just keep them knocked up until they turn 40 or so. Buy a home with a nice spacious kitchen, oh don't forget not to buy them shoes....ever.
What you do with your woman is ok by me though, but remember the "rule of thumb"
We'll turn you yankees into semi humans yet. four more years.

seems ironic that this is the guy who came up from pretty much dirt-poor roots to make it to the highest office on the planet, but the people who claim to be for the 'common man" are doing lap dances for Dubya, a guy who is some spoiled rich kid who when growing up could give two chits about the average joe..
aka Y-O-U.
And to Buffy, you really should take the starch out of your lingere, you're beginning to sound like J. Edgar hoover :lol

You do realize that I was quoting Clinton don't you Red Tail? So what if Clinton wasn't born with a sliver spoon. He certainly wasn't a "little guy from Arkansas" when he abused so many other "little" people.

14 year old girls where giving head long befor Clinton exercised executive privilage.
They thought it was naughty then..they probably think its naughty now.
Amazes me how the conservitiles hate a successful democratic president and think that the whole worlds sex life is there business.
the republican party should just rename its self "The Party of Hate and Fear"

It wasn't about his knob job from the fat chick though his excuses were humorous at times, sad at others
It was about ...one more time ... "LYING UNDER OATH"

It was about sexual harassment. Lewinski was only discovered during the investigation of sexual harassment allegations. Knowing Bill so well as we all do now, does anyone not believe Paula Jones story?

I give credit where credit is due, and if someone can make it to the top of their profession, when they started out with nothing, I have a lot of respect for, in THAT instance. He's no saint, but he's not the Great satan, either...

Wow you're beginning to sound like an Islamic fundamentalist, but that's no suprise.
All uber-conservative fundamentalists are cut from the same burlap.

In Clinton's case all the credit goes to gullible Americans. Hope that's not too caustic. :p

Ole Slick! After all these years the boy is still good for a hoot!
Remember when members of his administration were being criticized for exhibiting hostile attitudes towards military personnel who came to the White House? Clinton responded by saying it was untrue and that "...he came from a generation that grew up loving the military." Aheehee.
And then there was his classic "That depends on what your definition of "is" is!" Ahawhawhaw!
And picture Ole Slick with his pants down around his ankles in the Oval Office while being "serviced" by an intern young enough to be his daughter!! He always knew how to make his point. He definitely redefined "Presidential Power!" Bwaahahahahawhawhaw! I can't stand it! Gotta catch my breath for a moment! Oh my my my my my!
Then there is the latest...his interview by the British Press. His public "indignation" over the treatment of the little people by Kenneth Starr. Why the boy KNOWS that his path to the White House is littered with the bones of little people he sacrificed to get there! Oh the Brass! The Chutzpah!
Hawhawhawhawhawhawhaw!
I gotta quite before I split a seam.
Regards, Shuckins/Leggern

Yes, but making a mockery of the office of the President of the USA is just as bad and will linger longer than I care to see. Clinton did not care about that office, only his selfish desires and avoiding the consequences of them.
BTW, I can imagine worst "bubbles" to live in. If a life lived with morals equates to a "religous bubble", then thats where I want me and my family to be.

I googled "lose his rag" and found this quote.
"My recommendation is a scan-disk followed by a disk defragmenter because otherwise you’ll experience so much lag even the pope would lose his rag and throw his monitor through the next-door neighbors window."
Is it safe to say that this is the same as "going nuts" or "flipping out"?

They meant that Bubba got disbarred. He can't practice law until 2006 and I believe he is banned for life from federal courts.

I guess your ignorance can be excused since you have no real interest or influence in US politics.
-
I would say he has interest. Looks that way anyways.
Neither of you have any influence though.
So what's the diff?

I was gonna answer but Funked answered it so much more eloquently than I could have.
BTW, regarding Clinton's legacy. Here's a giant stride he made in protecting the rights of "little" women everywhere by redefining sexual harassment.
Regarding Paula Jones's claim that she had suffered emotional distress, Judge Webber Wright wrote that whatever went on in the Little Rock hotel room, it "was brief and isolated; did not result in any physical harm ... did not result in distress so severe that no reasonable person could be expected to endure it."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/special_report/1998/clinton_scandal/72796.stm
So long as it's not unendurable then no foul, hmmmm.
