Title: Skuzzy? GeForce drivers?

Have a GeForce FX 5200, and FR's are definetly playable, however I want to update the drivers.

driver for this card I currently use is version 6.14.0010.5303

latest driver I see at nvidias site is version 56.72

Is that right?

Finally, what driver is recommended?

Intel celeron 2.6 GHz
256 MB

Oops, just checked driver listed in display properties. It says Version 5.3.03 (DXdiag says version 6.14.0010.5303).
Now I am really confused.

I have not heard any reports from anyone about having any issues with the latest NVidia drivers.

I know NVidia has been working hard to correct some issues with drivers for the FX line of cards, so I would think it would be a good thing to grab and install the latest ones.

56.72 is the executable file on the Nvidia site, not the version of the driver.  Download it, double click it, it starts the Nvidia setup and install program that installs the drivers for your card.  56.72 is dated May 2004 and corrects some compatibility issues with the 5700 series cards in the FX line. Worth having, and check back often.  They issue upgraded drivers quite often.

that is the driver version...current official drivers are 56.72.

I have a FX5200 but i use Omega drivers (performance) from http://www.omegacorner.com  nearly doubled my fps.
