Is it just me, or does it seem to anyone else that there are far more Lag-7s being flown in the main arena than ever before?
Is it being overused?
Does anyone actually dogfight with the things...or just run when challenged...only to return to make a fast pass on ya when you're engaged with someone else?
Don't really care...I've shot down my share of them..but it seems to me that there may be more of them than almost any other type.

The only thing I've noticed is the # of hurricanes flying about seems to be on the rise in AH2. I dunno if the sorties flown is actually higher or if I'm just running into them more lately.

Not to be a dick, but we have no LaGG's.
LaGG stood for Lavochkin, Gorbunov and Goudkov and their last production plane was, I believe the LaGG-3.

I'm not seeing all that many La-7s.. bout as many as before I'd guess.
They just fly more timidly than normal is all, getting used to the FM I suppose.

Great job Furious, you've done your mitzvah for the day.

Shane does.
But honestly, some of my favorite fights are with La-7s, of course you usually have to "surprise" them into fighting either by overshoot or scissors. I suppose the only trick is that you have to be hauling bellybutton yourself to force the engagement. A the Russians would say: S Volkami Zhit' Po Volche Byt' (I'm sure I've assed up the spelling/transliteration of that lol).

If you can catch a La7 alone on the deck, and you are in a P47. 2 notches of flaps and wep is a lot of fun. You eventually get on their tail. Havent had one yet who didn't get rattled by it just before I blew him apart or he augered from snap stalling.
On the other hand most of the time his freinds pile on and I get blown apart or auger. Guess good ideas come back to haunt you.:)

I actually feel that I see a lot less La-7s.
The 190s are definately on the rise, and so are the 109s.

I've noticed that as well Kweassa. More LW iron flying around it seems, kinda interesting to see the #'s shift. I'm curious to see if the top 5 killers which were always more or less the same month to month AH1 will be different now.

Not to be a dick,
but you are.... embrace it. :D
hrm... in hindsight may have not been the best choice of words. :)

I'm reasonably confident the top 5 will stay the same. I still see about as many La-7s as I do 109s and 190s combined.

where is that page that keeps track of kills by/of each plane each campaign? Is that Innomin's page?
