So I'm wondering... Will our Avatards be able to "roam" the field in the ToD? Will I be able to click to an airfield, and then be able to walk out of the tower, over to the Hanger, get a coke, head back over to the ready room, check the mission board, then head over to the O-club to play cards while we wait for the mission to go up?

They might not have even started in building the first line of code for ToD. The last announcement which concerned ToD was so far away without any more info since then.
Judging by the impression I got, it seems that HTC concentrated all their resources in getting AH2 work first - and then, after AH2 is stabilized, then they might start building ToD. In this case, the ToD may come anytime between 6months~1year.
ps) On the other hand, maybe they've already made progress with the ToD engine, and could be released sooner than we thought. But I don't think that's very likely.

Yeah, I'm not thinking that it will be anytime soon (and I'm looking forward to an Early Pacific campaign which will be even FARTHER away I imagine), but I'm still wondering about it none the less.
