Title: which driver is best for SB-Live?

It has been recommended I update my sound-card driver for my SB-live (value) sound card. I would like to know which driver would be the best for AH2?

"Latest" one on the website is still pretty old.  And all the Live! cards are lumped into one bunch for the purpose of driver downloads from their site.  Pick whichever one you have, you will be sent to the same driver download.

I had that sound card and still have its latest drivers for WMe. However, I couldn't find any Creative drivers for it for W2000. I had upgraded for AH2 and had an Asus A7N8X-DLX mobo by then, and found the on board audio was better than the sound provided by the Creative sound card.

If you're running AH2, you probably have quite an upmarket spec including a mobo that provides onboard sound. Try it out! The A7N8X onboard sound works great with a headset for AH2 - no nasty howl around...

What OS do you use?

I have win98, Im running a lower level asus board, not sure of its specs.
