It occurred to me that the introduction of gliders would add an exciting element to AH. The glider would be towed by a buddy to its destination then you would be responsible for landing it "near" an enemy airfield. Upon landing jeeps ("and" artillery?) would come out. The jeeps would race for the enemy airfield and artillery (if available) would bombard the strip.
I think flying the german giganta glider would be .. uhm .. can you say awesome (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I could see this as sucking the competition dry of users. The first one to do this 'wins' in the all out war to get our hard earned bucks.
It would be as much fun manning those guns on a half track as it would be to strafe them from the air.

The Germans developed some VERY interesting glider types, and methods for using them. We will need Tante Ju to tow them around though.

I like It. And from all the deadstick calls I've heard online the last couple of days we should already have a core of "trained" Glider pilots. Me included (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I don't really see how this would add anything to the game. The main feature of the gliders was that enemy defenses couldn't hear them coming in. That wouldn't really be much of a benifit in AH.
BTW.. I saw the History Channel's special on "Suicide Missions: Gliders of WW2" too.

AKDejavu, I see it as adding vehicles to the game, from afar. In other words, you could take an airfield with vehicles, but it would take you a few hours to drive them to the enema airfield, so packing them in gliders would cut down the travel time. Sure, you could load them up in a engined A/C but half the fun would be to fly your own glider, land, then hop in the vehicle you brought and go to it! Just a concept, please understand.

An extremely cool idea the tow could fluy and when glider is dropped you take control of it or glider driverr is like gunneri n a bomber.
