Had screen freezes down to a minimum, but still stuttering before last patch.
Now I have went from stuttering/mini freezes to long freezes. On runway, long pauses. Change views, long pauses. Tilt wings, long pauses. Engage planes= fogetaboutit, pauses deny any kind of gun res or gameplay totaly.
I have sound accleration turned down with no help. I have sliders maxed to performance, which in it`s self seems to contradict what AHII is supposed to be all about.
As mentioned in the other posts I`m also experiencing instant CTD if ship guns are attempted.

except i didnt have stutters before this patch

What resolution are you running AH2 in? if its high try dropping it to the next lower setting
-
im running it in 1024

I`ve dropped down to 600x800 with no help. Once again IMO this contradicts the whole object of AHII.

Except for CTD's, before this last patch I was very happy. With every thing else exactly the same, instantly with last patch things went to hell.
My frames rates are still fine but game will hesitate for a momment especially when I am very close to other planes (in particular bombers). Never had that trouble before.
Athlon 1.4
128 meg DDR
SB Live
FX 5200 128
game settings at default everything - though I did lower the resolution to 800x600 (didn't make a difference)
This is a lot longer pause than when first loading new texture puses form earlier on (maybe 2x to 3x as long)

put your sound acceleration to max. I have read that reducing it makes you proc. do all the sound work and not your soundcard hardware.
-
hunter, that depends on what type of sound card you have, some like the AC are already complety CPU based, and the ACCELERATION slider just puts a higher priority on the cpu.
