Title: Let's Get This Learning Curve Thing Correct!!!

OK guys, it's a "learning curve" not a "learning hill". So far everytime someone has commented on the learning curve it has been described as steep. That would be correct if it were a "learning hill" because a steep hill is hard to climb, it's slow going, it takes alot of work, etc., just to make a little progress.
 BUT IT'S NOT A HILL IT'S A CURVE: you know, like rise over run, like slope, like time invested on x-axis and improvement on y-axis. So alot of practice (time, x-axis) produces steady but modest improvement (a little rise on y-axis) and that describes a SHALLOW LEARNING CURVE.

Is this not a little off topic?
Anyways, normally you plot
effort vs time, so
a steep curve indicates a more
difficult task.
Historically this was done because
fitting an effort plot was significantly
easier than fitting an improvement
