Title: Are the Turbo Laser trains finally gone?

Hi All,

I haven't flown around any strategic targets yet, but I'm wondering if the irritatingly unrealistic auto-targeting turbo laser armed "shoot the engine and the cars keep going" trains* have finally gone bye-bye? Perhaps to be replaced by something mildly realistic? [fingers crossed].

If there was any aspect of the AH1 universe I wanted to be replaced (and that includes the dreaded Tiger killing alluminum siding) it was the trains.

LOL I always loved those buggers. :D

I recall the first time I discovered them I thought I was being attacked by aliens. :lol Friggin tracers everywhere!

Nothing like spotting one and dragging an enemy over it to watch them disintegrate in mid-air. Ahhhhh those were the days, I hope they're still here.

i always enjoyed taking a heavy HOG and seeing if i could blow up an entire train and still make it home.

i rarely did.

Still haven't seen any - they gone?

I always loved toasting the ack at a strat with a Panzer and then sitting there happily blasting the buildings away only to suddenly be nuked by a barrage of fire from a DeathStar Train pulling in. Where exactly do they keep the rebuilding supplies if virtually every car has a flak gun on it? In the firebox?

That am be just stupid...

funniest thing was to up a 262, get the usual conga-line of dweebs thinking they can outrun you in pony's/la7's/hurricanes/a6ms on yer 6 - and go fly up and down the train lines and watch them get eaten up.
