My wife is pissed at me for having spent all my available free tiem last week flying/fighting online.
Gonna have to make it up to her. Should I get here an account of her own?? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

With 1.05 Aces High models all general aspects of war: Air, land, sea. Now it is all just bit of tweaking and adding more nice features (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I've had some of the best times in a WW2 flight sim since the release of this version, even with the little bugs that irratate me. Simply awesome! And the .50 cals dispersion is spot on in my opinion.
<S> to HTC, excellent work once again!

Even with the current bugs/flaws/inbalances that I'm sure will be pointed out before this thread dies, 1.05 is by far and away the best release of AH yet.
Frankly, I'm quite amazed that HTC has gotten such a major upgrade under control so fast. 2 days and 3 patches... incredible. Seems like they are really getting the hang of this programming stuff (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I LOVE 1.05!!! Just like Hangs post talks about flying through formations of bombers in my P51 pulling escort duty and seeing the 88mm flak going off all over the place.

I am very pleased. I love the carrier aspect and how much of the "mindless furball" action it adds that I so crave. I am also very pleased with the quick response in the way of patches.

lazs is pleased?
*gasp*
1.05 is indeed the holy hand grenade of flight sims

I will go further.... I like the way the fifties hit right now. I have been flying both the Hellcat and the D Hog and even the sissy p51 a little.
When the version first came out I couldn't fire the guns without a total lockup.... A day later a patch fixed it. Then I could fire but got error messages and I suspect, lost packets. It was fixed allmost at once. Hard to squeak about that kind of performance from a company.
Even the idiotic perk system is "working" at this point... It is working like a "score modifier" making people try some of the less popular planes. I will like it until they actually have some use for all those perk points.

I am having a blast since this version came out. Now that my fav plane is here, what do I have to look forward to? I don't know, but I do know this, it will be great!

WTFG HTC crew!
You guys reign supreme. The 1st time I jacked up the throttle on the PT, it felt like driving a Cigarette boat! I pushed my CH throttle forward and pulled away from the dock... whoo hooo, hehehe. Weaving around the carrier group is impressive. Hats off to the art dept. (ducks well thrown cod) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Last night I got a chance to get up for a few sorties. I found myself sitting in the tower watching an attack. The explosions, fires, smoke, clouds, falling bombs, different ack fire, planes taking off, diving, not pulling up in time, oooooh me. I think your getting the hang of this sim thang y'all. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
A few bugs to be squished, film dumps me, but 1.05 completes the toy-set. Army, Navy, Air Force. Cool scenario terrains like 10Bears 'Luzon'. Not even the great WB scenarios will have player driven carrier, land vehicles and player made terrains with all attributes easily set. AH is now scenario central for serious players.
Showed 1.05 to a buddy. Jumped into the big gunnery position on the carrier (8in?). I cranked up to about 4 miles and fired at a passing island. Then I lowered the sight and zoomed in to see it hit. About 10 seconds later it hits the water waaay before the island. Wow, sez me bud. Up I crank to 10 miles, boom, back down to watch. A loong time later, a beautiful splash. Sooo cool, he drools. I go for it, crank it all the way and fire. We zoom in and try not to take our eyes off the screen. Finally, boom, we hit the beach! My bud goes 'scoot over', heheh.
I won't argue the wisdom of Dogfighter awarding WB sim of the year for... er... going flat rate? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) I'll just say that for the 2nd year in a row, Ace's High is the best sim to me. Thanks for your hard work.

Some of the bugs are bugging me, and it's clear I need a computer upgrade. In fact the first day I tried 1.05 I was considering taking a hiatus for a while. But I'm having a blast now. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
