     Sorry to hear that.  i wish to forget about this year.  Just a 3 weeks ago,  two of my wife's aunt and uncles were camping in St. Louis, one uncle (Mike) had a brain anuerism(?).  The other Uncle (Steve) who took him to the Hospital had a heart attack 2 days later.  Anyhow, Mike did not make it, he was in a drug induced coma for 2 weeks, both had just turned 50.  Steve, has a stint(?) and looking good.  This past weekend was her family's annual reunion.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Sorry for the cofusing first post. I went from 0 to wasted in about 15 minutes when i heard the news.

And yes, he flew Wellingtons for the better part of the war. (RNZAF) Even was part of the hunt for the Bismark.

Even though he is gone you can reflect back on what he did during his life time and be extremely proud of it. It is part of your family history and something you will cherish always and in a way - is part of you.
