Classic Fighters, at Paine Field WA, flew their new-build Me 262 today at lunchtime. This was apparently its first flight since it crashed on landing after a landing gear failure.
The first high-speed taxi test was conducted on Monday June21st where test pilot Wolfgang Czaia lifted the nose wheel off the ground.
Today's flight was conducted with the landing bolted down and was succusfully completed.
Delivery of this aircraft to its new owner in Arizona is expected some time in July. There were initial plans to debut the airplane at Oshkosh, but this is unlikely due to certification issues. It is likely that the airplane will be displayed at Reno in September during the National Championship Air Races and Airshow.

Sweet! I'd love to see that in flight.

Was just steping out the north end of the factory to have a smoke and saw it climbing to the north. What a rush.
