My flying is rustier than heck, my shooting has become pitiful (who said that shooting is the first skill you lose when you take a leave? wise man!), my SA isn't what it used to be, my Framerate can barely keep up, and even dumb dyslexic Dora dweebs can run rings around me in a dogfight...
But...I'm enjoying it. No night...no porked fuel at every base...and a fair amount of decent-sized furballs to be found.
I hope it stays that way, or improves further :)

I`ll second that!..
I`m a newb, noob, dweebo or whatever to the Ah scene. Only been a member a couple three monthes or so and have been having a absolute ball....!!
Played about a month in Ah1,discovered AhII beta about 6 weeks before it became 2.0 and and the rest is history...
Oh yeah, my learning curves about .5 on a scale of 100 ,i find myself back in the tower more often than not, hoping that will change in a few monthes, ha!
The choice of planes make me giddy..
To be able to interact with hundreds of others at the same time in my private little cockpit on my terms is truley an incredible feat of technology in my opinion...
Looking forward to making new friends and learning the protocol,if yeah see me doing something stupid hollar at me and i`ll try to staighten up and fly right......like J.A.B. says..
I`m having fun!

I've been having alot of fun also. Shift change, been flyin about an hour a night anywhere from 10pm pacific on. The hordes are gone by then and there is some good fights to be found at that time period.
Balls to the wall, think my K/D finally got back to 1.00 :D Gunnery is coming around, feeling comfortable with the stick. Lotsa fun.

I'm definitely having more fun in AH2 than I was at the end of AH1. I can't put my finger on it, but it just feels "right."

STOP IT!!!!! This is wrong. Incorrect . Not right. If you're going to post about AH2 you are supposed to whine. Dangit. No compliments. No mention about fun. Just whine. And if you have VOX you MUST whine in the MA as well. And use the f-word without hesitation to describe every last pathetic thing you dislike!! This type of post is heresy!
But it IS a lot of fun!!! HAHAHAHA. I still can't hit anything have been shot down a few times and still have a hard time with the stall/spin characteristics. But that is all part of learning. Wish more folks would look at the improvements and stop looing for perfection. And I'm one of those that had to do a video card upgrade (and still ain't whining). Keep 'em flying:aok
Peace

Welcome to the party becee. Online gaming, whether it be this flight sim or Ultima Online, is, I think, a great way to develop tight commraderie (sp?). I had been flying Air Warrior for years, and then AH. The thing that kept me playing even when the game became stale at times was the commraderie/ friendships developed in the community. Good luck to you, and I hope to see you all once I get my finances back on track.:D

Well, if you get shot down can you blame it on being AFK? Or grabbing the wrong stick?
-
Gotta blame it on sumpin. Everyone else seems to. :D

The fights in AH2 are way more fun. The fights play out like how they read in historical accounts. I've had more fun in the last month of AH2 than in the past year of AH1.

Reversals are more fun , in AH2 things seem to happen as they are supposed to , kinda like you can plan it and follow thru. Now if I could shoot like you the reversal might actually meen something.

You didn't put the AFK sign, found under the seats, up in your windows.
That or you mixed up the AFK sign with the red target sign.

They just go ahead and paint that red target sign on my plane, then give me a red target sign. Isnt that what they do for everyone?
