I just did a search of posts that Fishu has responded to over the past 10 days.
There were 13 of them, most had several responses. Many were rather lengthy.
I was scanning for the words "a" and "an". I was particularly looking for a trend of misuse.
What I found amazed me; "a" was used only two times (correctly), "an" was not used at all.
"A" and "an" are two of the most frequently used words in the English Language (I think "a" is #2, and "an" is in the top 10). It is interesting to me that someone could write so much, and completely avoid these two words.
This is not meant to be a criticism of anyone's language abilities, the BB is very casual.
But, if you look at the post by Buzzbait, you may see what I am getting at.

Almost every "english second language" speaker makes this mistake. Including myself. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Much more telling is the reverse or slanted apostrophes in Buzz's post.
ie:
"...although I don`t doubt I`d be pretty..."
normally they look like this:
"...although I don't doubt I'd be pretty..."
Fishu's are normal...it aint him. But if u find another post with slanted apostrophes, yer probably looking at yer man.
Personally? I think it's a huge waste of time (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
-
Definitely a waste of time!
I wonder if he will comment, however.
He had nothing to say about Buzz's post.

...and who else? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Sorry, but I do post everything as Fishu
What comes to 'a' / 'an' case, well.. I guess thats quite normal for foreigners.
It IS confusing.
Should be used with objects/things methinks.
and 'an' with those.. what that word was .. an airplane.. thats example.. not a airplane, but an airplane, right?
..besides, I am too lazy anyway to watch everything like that, I already speak Finnish which is ten times harder than english (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
What Buzz's post?

I notice in eskimo's leading post that "a" was used only once without quotes and "an" was not used at all. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Fishu,
"An" is used before words beginning with a vowel, such as "an airplane". "A" is used for words beginning with a consonant:
"a bi-plane".
This rule also includes words that sound like they start with a vowel. "An F4U Corsair". "F" sounds like "ef".
Hope this helps.

Is this going to be on the test?
-
Hehe this is absolutely silly, but what the hell...
Weazel/Jihad/Buzzbait? - Funked
"...although I don`t doubt I`d be pretty..." - Buzzbait
..."for MA madness it`s currently the F4U1C..." - Jihad
"I`m glad to hear the fights are moving higher,I`ll bet the other LW flyers are too." - Weazel
What makes a keyboard do that?
-
Er....after getting sucked in and wasting even more time on this (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) ....
Jihad and Weazel are indeed the same person. Buzzbait is neither.

` is the lower case of ~ (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Wrong pinky typing. I'd say you're looking for a left-handed person.
Or possibly a one-armed man...

Weazel/Jihad/Buzzbait?
Who`s buzzbait? I must have missed his posts.I`m not left handed either-just a lazy/lousy typist. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

S! all
Pardon me for pissing myself laughing, but this is funnier than doing a story on a convention of UFO believers. I didn't think I bother posting here again after the warm welcome I got last time, but I can't resist.
Don't you guys ever ask yourself: "Why am I spending time on this kind of nonsense instead of actually dealing with the issues my community needs to have addressed?"
Obviously not.
This Sim has the potential to be one of the best online experiences ever produced. In fact it has many of the aspects in place right now. Unfortunately, the negativity and paranoia of a few players seem to be downgrading the whole atmosphere.
A real shame. Even though it can be kinda funny at times. Lol.

I dont think I had ever realized the rules for A and AN. Learn something every day.
-
The rule about a and an was somewhat misrepresented. It doesn't necessarily pertain to vowels and consanants (BTW.. A E I O U sometimes Y are vowels), but a vowel sound. Its "an honest opinion" not "a honest opinion".
The h is silent, so "an" is used. In a word such as "heavy" where the h isn't silent, "a" would be used.

There is a reason (not the only one) why english is so widespread. It really isn't that hard a language to learn.
Danish is suppose to be very hard to learn well because it depart from rules so much. I wouldn't know how to explain why the Danish words equivalent to "a" and "an" ("en" and "et") are used in front of the words they do. They just are.

Towd LOL I know who you're doing!!!
How Funked would know who towd was "doing" is something I'd rather not know, and not have him share with us. <shudder>
