Title: Aileron sliding left
Post by: Jackal1 on July 02, 2004, 03:02:06 PM
I`m running a Saitek X45 with CH pedals. All of a sudden I`m having this problem with the aileron indicator slding to the left. I can manualy trim it back, but then it slides left again. Calibration looks good in Windows and in game.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Start your profiles for the pedals and joystick(s) and then open up notepad and start "flying" making sure to switch modes and take yourself through the whole sequence of events.  If it's a stuck button it will show up there and you can eliminate it from the profile.  An example of a broken button would be the Saitek profiler depresses a keystroke but then for some reason never lets go.  This can happen if you activate a button while switching modes at the same time on occasion.  If this doesn't help, you may want to check your axis mapping in Aces High and ensure that your aileron isn't accidentally mapped to your rudder pedals.

I don`t use the profiler due to running the CH pedals.

I have the exact same setup. I mainly have only flown the Typhoon and I noticed the aileron trim pegged to full left. I thought the modeling on the tiffy was justed messed up. Never really paid attention to it going back to the left after I manually moved it. When I select combat trim it goes over to left. I will try to pay more attenton to the specifices next time I play and take notes as to how different planes react to the aileron trim indicator. Won't know how a LALA or NIKI react though. Since I do everything in my power to not be seen in one. :)
