As funny as it sounds it was a tradition for folks attending this security conference to put on some type of show at the end. Read the whole story...

I couldn't watch more than 10 seconds... I feel embarrassed FOR him!

Come on, Eagler. We've all seen that very same level of self-confidence during dollar draft night at the local karaeoke bar.
-
I fear for our world.

one was sober the other is not

It's completely goofy but Powell is a stud for doing it.
-
He was getting pretty ziggy at the end, there....

Don't get me wrong, it cracked me up after I got over a feeling of stunned disbelief!
-
At that point Liz I hand my hands over my eyes, and was squinting while peeking through a small crack in my fingers... it was all a blur.
-
THe man can do almost no wrong in my mind. Im with eagler on this one.

I thought he was going to say, "we were between a hard place and Iraq".
-
If Ted Kennedy did that you elephant guys would tear him to pieces and you know it...Colin's the only man with any decency in the Administration, he's still OK in my book (wince...):lol
-
Powell for Pres!!!:D
-
Poor Colin, look what this administration has done to him.
-
Damn lucky Moore didn't get ahold of that vid to go with the clip of Wolfo-dimwitz deep-throating his comb then dragging its spit soaked tines across his head...or the clip of Attorney General ultra melon singing at a press conference.
-
I can appreciate the entertainment value of a good "song and dance" man.
-
Well, his last performance at the ASEAN conference got his wife pissed as hell, so he had to go gay this time.

Jesus I damn nean choked on my cheerios reading that one:rofl :lol :D
-
Jesus...the man's a democrat in republican clothing, no wonder he's so popular...:D
-
you panderers crack me up... Powell could pee in your drink and you would thank him. He is a reasonably well spoken man and mediocre military mind.
redtail is correct.. he is a democrat in republican clothing but...closer to the average American than kerry say.

:lol

Well given that the country is looking for someone with some credibility and professional appeal in the Administration Colin just stands out all the more.
If anyone who considers him less than reasonably well spoken the least one can do is read at least excerpts from his book "My American Journey."
He's more well spoken than most.
-
oh those wacky asians ... anything to liven up a high-level conference ... at least he didn't try to balance spinning plates on a stick while riding a unicycle on a tightrope ...
-
after I stopped laughing, I was impressed (even more than I have always been with the man).
to willingly and soberly be willing to make that big of a fool of yourself, (especially while you know it's being taped) takes a confident man. a guy who is not trying to fool anyone (including himself ) about who he is.
don't know if my ego would have let me do it. actually thats a lie, there is no way in hell I would have done it.
-
ROTFL
The mans got a pair.. thats for sure. Sign of a confident man to do that.
-
I just figured out the whole entire meaning of this! ... And it is profound....
Watching this was tantamount to walkin' in on and catching your parents having sex.
Grim, yes. Very.
But a little peice in the back of your mind is kind of reassured... like, well, at least they're still gettin' some.
My name is Nash.

What makes you think it's mediocre?
-
what makes you think he is more than mediocre? Shwartzkof was more than mediocre.. powell seemed very cautious and not very agressive. He also seems to not be very confident and prone to making decisions based on what people tell him he should do.
I have read some of his book and he is "reasonably" well spoken or.. his ghost writer is... either way, no standout.
If he wasn't colored you wouldn't even know who he was. He is like a woman nasscar driver.

I don't know if he is or isn't. But you said he was, and I was wondering what you are basing that conclusion on.

This goes against what I read in Clancy and Frank's book about the Gulf war. But I guess it depends on how one looks at it. One man's agressiveness is anothers foolhardiness and needless risk. One man's cautiousness is another man's "protecting the troops from needless risk".
