Title: power supply for 9800pro
Post by: chug4u on July 03, 2004, 12:17:07 PM
I just bought a 9800pro on ebay. I found out I have a 250W Power supply. Dell D. 8200 P4 2.0Ghz. cpu. I understand I have to upgrade the power supply. Any Sugesstions on How big and what I need? I see a whole list of them on Newegg.com I plan on building a Game rig soon and will probably dump the 250w back in the Dell once I start on that.

Of every one-hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there,
eighty are nothing but targets, nine are real fighters...
We are lucky to have them, they make the battle...
AH but ONE, one of them is a Warrior... he will bring the others back

These people make power supplies for dell . You will need minimum of 300 for that card ( i have the same card) I recommend you get no less than a 400 powersupply

Dell Power supplys are rated VERY conservativly. There are tons of people running 9800's cards on the stock 250 power supply  in Dell computers. Check the Dell  support forums (http://delltalk.us.dell.com/supportforums) for confirmation.
