Why does the black out in the spit come in a ack puff style in stead of a tunnel like hole?
-
Because Spitfire pilots are real men and can handle it. :D
-
cause you gotta be smokin something strong to fly a spit:p
-
I thought black outs were G related and not a function of which ac is flown.............. other than one may pull more G than another.
-
Some A/C were resistant more resistant to G's than others depending on the pilot position.

Isn't that a moot point, since the affliction at different G force levels would be the same?
-
Spits are for kids.
Karaya
Spit 1 is excluded from the above statement.

Well I am not sure what it was but now its the same as all others. If I see it again I will get a screen shot and post it.
Some of you guy missed my point and may need to re-read my post. The black out is a black out, however, instead of the typical "tunnel" view, it was full screen puffy black like the new puff ack. ...and yes, I hate spits but you get use to it when there is nothing else to fly in the CT>>>>CT CT CT CT CT NOT MA MA MA MA MA:rolleyes:
...and Masherbrum, from your sig, you sound like a kid yourself, what about 12ish?
Hawker238, Crump is correct. Two planes make the same 6 G turn, the pilot in one plane sits at a different angle than the pilot in the other plane, one pilot black-outs be fore the other. I can never explain things very well but that why modern day areobatic planes, the pilot sits almost laying down. It prevents black-outs from accuring at a givin G force vs sitting up.

CurtissP-6EHawk, I know the situation you describe. It is not limited to Spits.
It's a long-standing bug in AH. There's a similar bug where you get NO tunnel vision ever and can fight with full view until you completely black out. Usually these bugs surface after you have been playing with video settings, or gunsights, or anything related to video. I don't know exactly what triggers this bug.
It isn't really an exploitable bug because you can't really predict when it will come and go.

Well JAB I have been messing with vedio settings lately. I will keep checking, however, this is the first I have seen it in two years of playing. Thanks

In AH1 third party gamma profiling programs also effected the depth of and onset of black out.
