I'm voting Shania!
If Martina is on the ballot, I'm voting McBride.
(http://www.luma-electronic.cz/lp/m/Mcbride/martina3.jpg) She's a better singer too.

I'll repeat the question:
Since when did John Kruk start coloring his hair?
-
I dont think there should be any argument here

It'll have to be Judd. Shania is Canadian. (another embarrassing canadian female singer imho).

Granted... she's short on talent, but she is easy on the eyes. :)
-
Female singers don't usually sing good country songs (as with everything, exceptions exist). Usually it's just "pop" with a slight twang...I usually turn the channel when I hear a female singer on a country radio station.
Some of them are easy to look at though.....better seen than heard :)

Put Patsy Cline's voice in Shania's body and...wow, another good argument FOR stem cell research! ;)
-
Actually, Shania wasn't my 1st choice.
I prefer this Canadian!

Not nearly graphic enough... You need one of these:

Foward, reverse, repeat until the snow is pink.

Not exactly true...
Emmylou Harris with Gram Parsons on Grievous Angel.
Boom. Unparalleled. The Stones came to them back in the early 70's just to figure out how it was done, and it changed the Stones when that happened... thus changing rock as we know it.
Whoo... I got shivers just writing that.
I always had a thing for for Tanya Tucker also.... but that's purely sexual in nature.
-
As soon as I wrote it I thought of Dolly Parton. Ya there were chicks that could sing country.

In recent memory... Leann Rhimes seems to have some talent.
-
She does indeed.
Lookit - basic prollem with country in GENERAL (not just chicks) is that they don't write their own stuff. Okay SOME songs on SOME albums are actually written by the person singing them. But it's prolly .0003%.
Country singers are *singers*. Nashville is tight-knit and if you want to exert any artistry you aren't gonna manage there.
You have to go well outside country music to hear country music. It's still happening, and it's FANTASTIC stuff. Prollem is that people think that the country you here on the radio is somehow country. Hasn't been that way since '78 or so.

Speaking of which... My grandfather died a few years ago. He played harmonica and guitar (together)... old country/blues type stuff. I visited my dad this weekend and I got a tape that I'm going to convert over to MP3.
As a kid, this stuff bored me to tears, but nowadays I'm fascinated by it.

ONJ WAS born in England and moved to Austrailia, heard this about 20 years, retained it possibly for this long. I could be wrong though.
Patsy Cline hands down.
Karaya
Ashley JUDD, now that's a woman, Shania's all used up.

Patsy died in a plane crash. You remember who else was in there with her? One was a distant relative of mine.
-
Ruben Stoddard or Clay Aiken?
Kimberly Locke or Tamyra Gray?
Bud Abbott or Lou Costello?
-
Not a huge country fan, but that Sarah Evans chick is hot as hell.
-
Penny Marshall or Rosie O'Donnell?
Cameron Manheim or Lara Flynn Boyle?
