im wonder whats do windows behinde cockpit
photo recon version, windows for cameras? or for passangers?
anyone?

Not sure if they had a funtion. I read that they were deleted in the F6F-5 but it didnt say why the -3 had them to begin with.

I'll bet it's for passengers. At an airshow I once saw an F4F with a tinted window in the fuselage. I pressed my nose up against it to look in and there was someone sitting in there. It looked like there was room for 2 or 3 people.

Restored F6F with ability to carry someone behind the pilot. Not a combat version in the image you posted.

That is an after market addition.
Many restorations have little perks like windows for passengers in the back that were never there. After all what is the sense of owning a warbird if you can't make your friends puke in it.
I am thinking of getting an F4U with a DVD player in the headrest and those spinning crome rims on the wheels.
