I'll venture and go with Grunherz,

I believe it looks a little too cartooney or done in "oils"

like a painting you would see somewhere.

Granted, the damage layer on the model looks good, little too much IMO.  It still has a flat lifeless feel to it. Might be lighting of reflective properties. Most planes, even camo'd, had a luster to them

Yep that flat paint takes the life out of it... I'd love to see it redone with more with some luster in the colors.

Its not a game shot thats why... Its cut and pasted right from 3DS max onto a FB background.

Its like taking the Ju188 and pasting it, the lighting etc wont be right:

Its a long way from being ready and its been talked aboiut for something like 2 years.
