Aces High II is different than Aces High I ( and not just because of the extra I). Thought you all might want to know. ;)

Are you sure? I still hit the ground the same way I did in AHI.
-
Ahhh, but that's YOU hitting the ground the same way. However, in AH2 it looks, sounds and feels different.

The reason I posted this is now, everytime i see a post where someone syas " My plane flies different than AH1" or "The fuel consumption is different than AH1" or even "AH2 is different than AH1" I just want to grab my monitor and throw it out the window.
No duh it's different than AH1, it's AH2 you dolts, :rofl
-
i hear ya iv seen plenty of dolts of late whine-ing about how the planes dont fly the same and how its harder to shoot

I don't like AHII thus far.
-
I have proof Ah2 is different....
I actually landed a F4U perfectly on a cv the other day!!
thats right kids...no full throttle slamming against the firewall last gasp go around no gas just attempting to crash land it last minute stall for me on sunday
AND my gunnery "seems" a little more effective lately
so imho
AH2 is crap! :D

Hmm maybe we can accomplish our goal if we do it all at once.
Here goes.
My Plane flies different, the fuel consumption is different and AH itself is different then AHI!
Now. Just go with what you feel :D

BTW the GVs seem different then in AHI too!

No fooling, I do note spins are not as catostrophic as they should be. Whats up with that? I yank a d9 arround like a spit and have yet to get in a nasty spin or anything remotely resembling an unrecoverable spin. I checked, and my stall limiter is off.
And Hun , you mention Oldmn. We had a fight Mon night and both of us were VERY slow in 190's. I saw him him flopping and I know I was flopping. We were like 100 feet off the water and neither of us spun it. That aint right. I got the film if anyone cares to look - someone should have been spinning to aqualand. I see a5's follow me up and looking at the film, they're going 57 mph and not spinnig. I cant gripe cause I'm going 90 mph, spiral climbing and not spinning in a d9. But it aint right.

AH2 is like having to eat a ***** sandwich... You can make it look good... but it's still *****.....:rofl :rofl

I've enunciated this point before in another thread and will do it again here. People need to give AH2 a chance. I have had more fun, realistic, protracted, adrenalin pumping fights in AH2 in one month+ than in almost 2 years of AH1. The fights play out just like they read in anecdotal accounts from WW2. The lack of laser gunnery to 1000 yards (10 football fields), the more gradiated damage model and the new flight models which require aggressive throttle control and prudent rudder use combine to make the outcome of fights much more a factor of pilot skill than plane type or pre-merge advantages.
Basically, skill alone has the greatest impact on success now more than any other factor or combination of factors, spray and praying is almost useless now, while HO's are still prevalent, they require much better aim and are generally not even possible unless both parties are forcing the issue. All in all, AH2 is the most realistic WW2 flight Sim I have ever had the pleasure of playing, while still retaining immensely fun and immersive playability. With more improvements, fixes, additions, and enhancements coming on the immediate horizon, I am excited to watch it develop and mature.

I agree with you to an extent. However the FM on the German aircraft is not at all what it should be IMHO.
Specifically, the 109 shouldn't compress so easily.
The 190 shouldn't tip stall.
I have cancelled my account and will consider returning at some future date if these issues are addressed.

That's possible, I do not fly LW planes in AH. My statements were generalized, but from my subjective view-point there must be some endearing qualities of the LW rides, becuase they are much more popular in AH2 than they were in Ah1, espeically the G series 109s and the Fw190D9. I see alot more 109/190s than I ever did in AH1.
