In my task manager, when i start my pc i have like 60 processes running. So every time I start my pc I go into my task manager and end a whole bunch of them so im down to 24 processes running. Is there a way to save this so i dont have to do this everytime i start my pc?

Couple of ways.
Enditall is one, I suspect they have an XP friendly version out by now.
I don't have enough experience in XP to tell you for sure.
In win98 you can start/run/msconfig
The last tab on the right will let you select what starts & what doesn't.
Or maybe even a dual boot 98se/XP

Those programs are started in one of three places in XP.
1) In the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, and select the "Services" ICON. This is where the bulk of the processes get started by 2K/XP. You can control how they start or if they are to start at all, by right-clicking and selecting "Properties"
Great care should be exercised as 2K/XP will allow you to shut off processes that it needs to be able to boot.
2) In the Start->Programs->Startup menu is another area where programs will be started at boot time. These are shortcuts to the real programs and can be safely deleted, but in doing so, you could break an application.
3) This last one is a bugger. It is in the registry and can only be edited/seen using regedit. There are at least 3 places in the registry programs can kick start themselves without your knowledge. They will be under the key "Run", "Runonce", or "RunonceEx".

Open your task manager and your browser. Go down the list and look up each process using the alphabetic index at the bottom of the page. It will tell you what it is, if it's critical to windows operations, and how to permanently turn it off if unneeded.

EndItAll2 works great with XP. I use it when playing any game or installing programs. One mouse click and you are done.
