Actor Jeffrey Jones, best known for playing the high school principal in the 1980s comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off, is accused of failing to register as a sex offender.
Jones, 57, pleaded no contest last July to a felony charge of employing a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos. The actor was sentenced to five years' probation and ordered to register as a sex offender and get counseling.
Officials in Sarasota, Fla., said Jones registered the address he was at last year, but moved in March without registering again. Last week, Jones was arrested and charged with failing to register as a sex offender. He was released on $1,000 bail, police say.
