Title: A sad day for the 54th Screaming Eagles

Gentlemen,

Just now while at work my CO messaged me on Yahoo messenger and told me one of our squad members was killed this past Sunday night.  He was on his way home from watching fireworks and a drunk driver hit him head on.  

I first met "Pilot" when he was our squad training officer.   He was in the squad rather briefly and left to join the Rooks with the ATC squad. Air Traffic Control I think is the name of them.  I think the CO of that squad is an ex F16/18/15 driver or what have you. I can't remember right now.   He went by the handle of PSTLNC or "pestilence" for short.     He just recently came back to the Bishops under the handle of PANDORA and then rejoined our squad as SEpilot.         If you have a spare moment please take the time to say a short prayer please.    I'm a little messed up right now so I will keep this brief.

He will be missed by all.

I would like to extend condolences from the members of the 99th ASTAG to the friends and family of SEPilot. We are very sorry to hear he is no longer with us. SEPilot was a joy to fly with and will be  truely missed.

The XO of the SE mentioned today that they are planning a online memorial service for SEPilot on Friday at 8:00pm EST. Lets all do our very best to show up for this service and show our respect for this fallen airman.

on behalf of the III/Jabostaffel i give our deepest sympythies.

we have had some riviting duel's between our squads and i mutual respect has grown (on our end for sure).

SEpilot was a decent individual and a great pilot to fly against. <<>> to him, and the entire squad. he will be missed sorely. my heart goes out to his family, and the "family" of AH for losing a fellow commrade.

i hope you all well, and please inform his family that not only the gentelmen that flew "with" him, but the people that flew on "the other side" respect and will miss him.

God speed on his journey to heaven. i hope to shake his hand there one day!

Was a great pilot and I feel privledged that I had the chance to learn from him and had him as a squadmate(101st Hell's Raiders).

To commemorate the fallen pilot, I have decided to make a small video in dedication to him and to his squad...  I have 4 of my guys that will fly line abreast to standard vic to missing man....

If anyone else wants to join in, I am going to fly this in the TA on Friday night @ 8:00pm est... so I have the weekend to edit it and get it out ASAP... If we could have everyone fly in flights of 4 that would work out great...

If anyone has any objections to this please let me know... especially from his squad... I don't want to step on anyone's feet...

I suggest Hitech and Pyro establish a sanctuary , much like the stone in WWIIonline, and the drones named after ded players.

It still warms my heart when I see carrot's name in wwIIonline, and -bobn- and some other names from  Warbirds where they have named the drones after these guys.

They are much alive again, bringing back old memories from a time that will not come back

If I ever get smeared riding my bike the way I do please don't fill two pages with condolences and .  Tell lies about me ("He was such a good pilot and a fine person" kind of thing).  Drink beer.  Throw a party.  Have fun.  Stage a huge raid on all three HQs at once.  I didn't know SEPilot, but from what I've heard he's rolling his eyes and squelching this entire thread.

I've never been a funeral sort of person.  Throw me a wake.  I have life insurance for that very purpose.
